# PlaceVolt

PlaceVolt turns public open datasets into an explainable **Site Potential Score** for any
address in Sweden — a screening signal for where a new public charger is likely to make sense,
not a guarantee. The score is a potential/opportunity indicator, never a revenue, utilisation,
kWh or ROI forecast, and it is not investment advice.

## What PlaceVolt is

- A web-based site-selection workspace for EV charge-point operators (CPOs), landowners,
  retail/fuel/logistics site owners, municipalities and consultants evaluating where to put the
  next public charger in Sweden.
- Built on public open data only at launch: no private charge-point-operator session, kWh,
  revenue, payment or driver data is used or published.
- Every score/report ships with its data sources, last refresh date and a stated confidence
  level, so the basis of the number is visible rather than a black box.
- Free, no-account instant scoring for a single address via the "Check your site" widget on the
  homepage; full reports (breakdown, competition, sources) are unlocked with an email address.

## What PlaceVolt is not

- Not a guarantee of revenue, utilisation, grid capacity, permits or investment return — always
  described as a "potential/opportunity score."
- Not an AFIR (Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation, EU Regulation 2023/1804) compliance
  certifier — AFIR targets may be cited as regional context, never as a compliance claim.
- Not a source of private CPO session, kWh, revenue, payment or driver data (launch scope is
  open data only).
- Not a substitute for a site visit, grid-connection check, permitting review or private
  utilisation data before a deployment decision.

- **NOBIL / Swedish Energy Agency** — public charging-station locations and static attributes
  (CC BY 4.0, attribution required).
- **NOBIL real-time** — live connector status where available (CC BY 4.0).
- **Statistics Sweden (SCB)** — population and demographic open data (CC0).
- **Lantmäteriet** (Swedish land-survey authority) — geodata open data (CC0).
- **Trafikverket** (Swedish Transport Administration, and its Trafiklab open-data portal) —
  road network and traffic open data (per Trafikverket API terms, attribution required).
- **Svenska kraftnät** (Swedish national grid operator) — electricity bidding-area public
  information.
- **SMHI** (Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute) — weather open data.

Source datasets may be incomplete, delayed or best-effort. All data is processed and enriched
by PlaceVolt; sources, licenses and refresh cadence are disclosed on the in-app Sources page.
